CERAMIC FOAM FILTER

Compared with traditional filtering materials, GMI? CERAMIC FOAM FILTER have obvious advantages: 1)Thermal and chemical stability in high temperature, avoiding the chemical reaction with the filtered molten metal; 2)High porosity and good strength in elevate temperature due to its pure ceramic composite; 3) full open cell without loose ceramic particles or powders( snowing) during filtrating.
There are four types of ceramic foam filters available, CF200 is alumina based ceramic foam filters, that can be used up to a limit of 1100 oC. They are most suited for the filtration of molten aluminum and its alloys, and part of molten copper and its alloy; CF400 is silicon carbide based filter, that can withstand temperatures up to 1540oC and be used in the filtration of casting iron, copper and its alloys, CF500 is zirconia- toughed- alumina ceramic foam filter that can withstand temperatures up to 1650oC and used in the filtration of carbon steel and its alloys.; and CF600 is partial stabilized zirconia filter withstanding temperatures up to 1750oC and suitable for filtration of steel, stainless steel and super alloys.
