Antibacterial Polyester Yarn

Our antibacterial polyester fiber is spun by adding mother batches that contain 17-20%Wt anti-bacterial powders. By applying nanotechnology, inorganic compounds such as zeolite, titanium dioxide and zirconium phosphate as carriers, Ag+ as cladding and adsorption at the surface, this anti-bacterial powder of inorganic compound silver series is thus made. The fiber contains 0.5-1.5%Wt anti-bacterial powders, which can inactivate bacterium after its coalescence with pherons inside the bacterium, therefore the fiber has good effect to restrain bacteria such as staphylococcus aureus and escherichia coli from propagating. The bacteria reduction testing results of the fiber and its fabric pass Japan Industrial Standard JIS L 1902: 2000. The toxic testing result of the antibacterial powder taken by Shanghai Disease Prevention Center shows that it accords with sanitation standards, harmless to human body and environment, no irritation to skin.
Comparing with traditional finishing methods, the method of mixing the anti-bacterial powders and fiber mer during the spinning process leads to long lasting antibiosis effect. Even after many times of washing, the fiber still possesses good antibiosis performance. Moreover, the antibiosis component has good heat stability, endurable to sunlight and high temperature.
