ACF Introduction:
Activated Carbon Fiber that developed in the last decade is the third form of activated carbons. It has large specific surface area, large pore volume, and a great part of micropores. Because of the above, ACF has much greater capacity and high speed in performing adsorption and desorption than that of powder and granule activated carbon, and also it has the features of heat-resistance, acid or alkaline-resistance, filtration of waste gas, etc. And due to the special fibrous form, it can be easy-forming into cloth, felt and paper to meet different demands in application.

According to the shape, ACF can be sorted as ACF felt, ACF cloth and ACF silk. According to the substrate, it can be sorted as viscose ACF, polyacrylonitrile ACF and phenol-aldehyde resin ACF. And the main product of our company is viscose staple fiber ACF.

ACF Characteristics:
1)High adsorption capacity: The adsorption capacity of activated carbon fiber is often larger than the traditional activated carbon about several to dozens times for the organic vapor and odor material (n-Sulfur butanol). And there is better adsorption capacity for the inorganic gases. In addition, the adsorption capacity of ACF is special excellent for the gases concentration below ppm (v/v).
2)Adsorption velocity of very speed: The adsorption velocity of ACF is 10-100 times than the traditional activated carbon adsorption pollutant from gas phase.
3)Convenient and easy regeneration: Being through many times heating regeneration the ACF still keep a high adsorption capacity.
4)Being a best heat insulator: The ACF can exist upon 1000C in inert gases and its Ignition temperature in air is > 500C.
5)Acid-resisting,alkali-resisting ,there is better electric conductivity and chemical stability.
6)The total ash content is very low
7)The good tensile strength of activated carbon fiber can be made into different shape, like felt, silk, cloth and paper.

ACF Applications:
1)Solvent recovery system: ACF can be used in solvent recovery from air stream such as the vapor of Benzene,ketone,ester,petroleum (particularly for the corrosive chloride, solvents of high reactivity and low boiling- point solvents). The fasting adsorption and desorption, high capacity for treatment solvents air stream that the recovery capacity can reach to 97%.
2)Military application: ACF can be used in military protection such as:  It can be made of anti-chemical clothes and the NBC protective suits, gloves, dressing and bandages etc.
3)Air cleaning and odor control: The odors in the indoor air includes Ammonia, Amine, and trimethylamine, sulfur methanol,hydrogen sulfide etc., Using ACF as adsorption material removes and deodorize more efficient, and also removal particles and moistures existing in the air, particularly Aromatics which may cause cancers.
4)Wastewater treatment: ACF is particularly suitable for treating the wastewater contaminated by Phenol, thiol and other chemical agents which have been preliminarily reduced to a certain level by biological technology. Thanks to ACF property of fast, high adsorption capacity, and easy regeneration, and ACF can reduce the cost of installation and avoid second pollution.
5)Water purification: ACF is widely used as color and odor removing material in the production of foods, medicines, beverages, sugars and wines. It is an ideal material as purifying medium in the production of drinking water and super pure water for industrial use.
6)Application in electric and energy: ACF can be used to make capacitor, storage battery and electric materials.
7)ACF can be made into adiabatic materials, anti-corrosive materials and attemperators.
8)Manufactured goods for daily use: Refrigerator deodorizer, fresh-keeping devices for fruits and vegetables, household water-cleaner, antibiotic shoe-pads, anti-poison mask and clothes, cigarette filter, etc.
9)Medical and health protection application: Medical bandage and women pad etc.
